Two players at Sint-Truiden have a history at Club Brugge. Moroccan defender Fayçal Rherras played at Club during his youth and the Belgian-Burundian forward Mohamed "Meme" Tchité who scored six goals for The Blues between 2012 and 2014. Tchité is the only player ever to have played for top sides Standard, Anderlecht and Club Brugge.

After his stint at Club, the former Footballer of the Year (in 2007) signed for Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti, but that didn't work out. In November STVV took him in with a contract until the end of the season. Other former players who have played for both sides are Koen Daerden, Grégory Dufer, Manasseh Ishiaku and Günter Verjans. During the last transfer window Sint-Truiden have signed quite some players: defender Damien Dussaut (Fra) from Standard, like midfielder Alexis De Sart (Bel). Allan (Bra), on loan from Liverpool, Fabien Tchenkoua (Fra) from French side Nimes Olympique and Pieter Gerkens (Bel) from Genk strenghten the midfield.
